Volleyball Recap: Desoto Central Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for DeSoto Central, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They came out on top against the Hernando Tigers by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. That's more bragging rights for the Jaguars, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-17, 17-25, 25-21.

Genesis Weeks paced DeSoto Central's offense, picking up 14 kills. Weeks got some help from Natalie Loftin and her 18 assists. Brenna Sorenson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

DeSoto Central pushed their record up to 9-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Hernando, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-4.

DeSoto Central didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 victory against St. George's on the 27th. As for Hernando, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Austin on the 29th.
