Basketball Recap: Sierra Takes a Loss

Sierra played a tough match on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Atwater Falcons 74-33. The Timberwolves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 39-18.

Taylor Zalunardo was Sierra's leading scorer, having posted eight points. Mya Everett took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with two assists.

This is the second loss in a row for Sierra and nudges their season record down to 3-4. As for Atwater, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-2.

Sierra wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 52-45 loss against Merced on the 19th. Atwater has also already played their next contest, a 53-43 victory against Monterey Trail on the 20th.
