Football Recap: Riverhead Comes Up Short

Riverhead's game on Saturday was all tied up 6-6 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. The contest between the Blue Waves and the Patchogue-Medford Raiders didn't end well, with the Blue Waves falling 26-12. If the Blue Waves were looking for revenge after losing 34-29 to the Raiders when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Riverhead's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Patchogue-Medford, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Riverhead will take on Walt Whitman on Saturday. The Wildcats will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Blue Waves surely won't give up without a fight. As for Patchogue-Medford, they will square off against Sachem East on Saturday.
