Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Rock Springs Christian Academy walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Southland Academy Raiders with a sharp 11-3 win on Thursday. Considering the Eagles have won 17 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Noah Hamilton made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Rock Springs Christian Academy is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 10-11 otherwise. Hamilton was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Liam Buice was a standout: he got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two RBI and one double. Brandt Washington was another key player, going 3-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Rock Springs Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in five consecutive contests.

Rock Springs Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 18-11. As for Southland Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's still a better percentage than their 5-21 record this season.

Rock Springs Christian Academy will venture away from home to square off against Southwest Georgia Academy at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Warriors' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Eagles' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Southland Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
