Soccer Recap: Perry Wins Going Away Against South Tama County

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Perry had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the South Tama County Trojans. Perry's offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last three games.

They hit South Tama County with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jonatan Banuelos (3), Jacobo Cerna-Gomez (3), and Alex Zamora.

Perry moved to 9-5-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for South Tama County, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-19-5.

Coming up, Perry will square off against Knoxville at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Knoxville will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Perry surely won't give up without a fight. South Tama County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
