Soccer Game Preview: Woodland vs. Locust Grove

The Woodland Wolfpack are taking a road trip to take on the Locust Grove Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Woodland's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Woodland managed to slip by Stockbridge the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. Woodland came up short against Stockbridge on Tuesday, falling 3-0. That's two games in a row now that the Wolfpack have lost by exactly three goals.

Meanwhile, Locust Grove can bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against Jones County by a score of 3-1.

Woodland's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Locust Grove, their win bumped their record up to 4-7.

Woodland came out on top in a nail-biter against Locust Grove in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, sneaking past 3-2. Does Woodland have another victory up their sleeve, or will Locust Grove turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
