Soccer Game Preview: Madison vs. Kearny

The Madison Warhawks will face off against the Kearny Komets at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Kearny took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Madison, who comes in off a win.

Madison will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals back in December of 2024, then bounced right back against Hoover on Wednesday. Madison walked away with a 4-2 victory over Hoover. The score was all tied up 1-1 at the break, but the Warhawks were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, after soaring to nine goals the game before, Kearny was a bit more limited in their contest on Wednesday. They fell just short of Castle Park by a score of 1-0. The Komets haven't had much luck with the Trojans recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Madison has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those five games. As for Kearny, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5-2.
