Caesar Rodney hadn't done well against Sussex Central recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Riders walked away with a 45-35 win over the Golden Knights. The Riders' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, Sussex Central still got an impressive performance from Armon Floyd-Satchell, who rushed for 92 yards and one TD on only six carries. Floyd-Satchell really tore up the turf during one magnificent 70-yard run. Speaking of playmakers, who could forget Hayden Mahammitt, who went all the way with a kickoff return for a touchdown.

Caesar Rodney's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 5-3. As for Sussex Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-5.

Coming up, Caesar Rodney will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Cape Henlopen at 7:00 p.m. As for Sussex Central, they will head out on the road to take on St. Georges Tech at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Golden Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
