Softball Game Recap: Red Oak Eagles vs. Tahlequah Tigers

Red Oak had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 6-5 to make it four. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 5-0 to the Tahlequah Tigers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2023.

As for Tahlequah, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-2. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.8 runs.

For Tahlequah's part, Raylee McCarter and Riley Dotson did most of the damage at the plate: McCarter went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, while Dotson went 2-for-3 with two runs. That's the most RBI McCarter has posted over her last 16 matches.

Red Oak has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Silo on the 5th. As for Tahlequah, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 4-3 defeat against Sequoyah on the 5th.
