Softball Recap: Benton's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Benton waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victors by a 10-2 margin over the Iowa Falls-Alden Cadets. Considering the Bobcats have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Benton pushed their record up to 19-13 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Iowa Falls-Alden, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-12 record this season.

Benton has already played their next contest, a 3-2 loss against Williamsburg on the 12th. Iowa Falls-Alden does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
