Baseball Recap: Bromfield Comes Up Short

Bromfield had lost four straight on the road, but on Monday they dropped down to 4-10 to make it five. They came up short against the Quabbin Regional Panthers, falling 11-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-0 back in April.

As for Quabbin Regional, their record is now 6-7-1. The high-scoring effort was just what they needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

For Quabbin Regional's part, Adam Adams made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Adams also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Quabbin Regional is 4-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-5-1 otherwise. Adams was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Quabbin Regional got a massive performance out of Andrew Warfield, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and three RBI. Those three RBI gave Warfield a new career-high. Chase Talbot was another key player, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs.
