Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Ben Parks and Will Morton Lead De Soto to Victory + How To Watch

De Soto put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past the Piper Pirates with points to spare, taking the game 34-15. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Pirates, too.

A big part of De Soto's win came down to the chemistry between Ben Parks and his top target Will Morton. Parks rushed for 88 yards while Morton rushed for 66 yards and a pair of scores on only seven carries.

De Soto was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 317 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Piper only rushed for seven rushing yards.

De Soto didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kameron McCarty and Tanner Toburen.

De Soto's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Piper, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. De Soto will take on Basehor-Linwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Piper, they will square off against Spring Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
