Softball Recap: Southern Boone Comes Up Short

Southern Boone lost against Linn back in September of 2022 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 4-3. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Abigail Haskamp made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

Southern Boone's defeat dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Linn, they pushed their record up to 22-4 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home.

Southern Boone and Linn should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings. The Eagles (ranked 34th) will meet Blair Oaks (ranked 110th) at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Linn will square off against Pacific at 4:30 p.m. on Monday with a big rank advantage (20 vs. 185).
