Volleyball Recap: Isle of Wight Academy Takes a Loss

Isle of Wight Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association Patriots. If the Chargers were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Patriots when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-10, 25-17.

Despite the loss, Isle of Wight Academy still got an impressive performance from Christina Petruzalek, who had ten digs and one block. Petruzalek has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times she's played.

Isle of Wight Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association, the win keeps them at an undefeated 13-0.

Coming up, Isle of Wight Academy will challenge Norfolk Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central Virginia Homeschool Athletic Association, they will square off against Steward at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
