Baseball Game Preview: Crawford County Wolfpack vs. Mitchell Bluejackets

Crawford County is 1-9 against Mitchell since May of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Wolfpack will welcome the Bluejackets at 5:30 p.m.

Thursday just wasn't the day for Crawford County's offense. They lost 10-0 to Paoli on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Mitchell had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Loogootee on Thursday as they made off with a 10-4 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Bluejackets considering their two-run performance the contest before.

Parker Reeve was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Mitchell is 5-2 when he allows at most two walks, but 4-7 otherwise. Reeve was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with two runs. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Gavin Martin was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Bryson Zeeks was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Crawford County's defeat dropped their record down to 3-20. As for Mitchell, the win got them back to even at 9-9.
