Preview: Soquel Knights vs. Salinas Cowboys
The Soquel Knights will be playing at home against the Salinas Cowboys at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Monday, Soquel suffered a rough 54-31 loss at the hands of Monte Vista Christian. Soquel has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Salinas ended up a good deal behind Ann Sobrato on Saturday and lost 58-42.
Despite the defeat, Salinas saw an underclassman step up: Alice Uchida scored 11 points. Jennifer Rivera was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.
Soquel's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Salinas, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.
Soquel was able to grind out a solid win over Salinas in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, winning 50-37. Will Soquel repeat their success, or does Salinas have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
