Basketball Recap: Pottsgrove Takes a Loss

Pottsgrove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Spring-Ford Rams, falling 61-27. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-11.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kendra Ivory, who posted six points and 11 rebounds. Ivory has been hot recently, having posted eight or more boards the last three times she's played. Ava Leaman was another key player, putting up seven points.

Lilly Brescia was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Christina Tiffan, who earned ten points and five rebounds.

Pottsgrove's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Spring-Ford, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.

Pottsgrove has already played their next contest (against Pottstown), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Spring-Ford didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 48-43 win against Phoenixville on the 15th.
