Recap: Bayfront Charter Sharks vs. Madison Warhawks
Even though the Bayfront Charter Sharks have not done well against the Madison Warhawks recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Bayfront Charter sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 38-35 win over Madison. The team accrued 29 points in the first half and coasted on those for the victory.
Madison's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jocelyn Kettles, who scored four points. Another player making a difference was Sierra Minshew, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Bayfront Charter's victory bumped their record up to 6-4-1. As for Madison, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Bayfront Charter's road trip will continue as they head out to face Mission Bay at 6:00 p.m. on December 14th. Madison won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against El Cajon Valley at 6:00 p.m. on December 13th. El Cajon Valley will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 1035th, while Madison is ranked 434th).
