Pike County came tearing into Thursday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Callaway Cavaliers get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 6-0 on Tuesday.

Pike County's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for Callaway, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pike County will take on Eastside at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Callaway, they will host Upson-Lee at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.85 runs per game on average), something the Cavaliers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
