Softball Recap: Grovetown Victorious

Grovetown proved they can win big on Friday (they won by 14) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Loganville Christian Academy Lions 3-1.

Grovetown saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josalyn Sergent, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Grovetown's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Loganville Christian Academy, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coming up, Grovetown will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Newton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The match will give the Warriors their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Loganville Christian Academy, they will face off against Vidalia at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
