Basketball Game Preview: Grant Pacers vs. McClatchy Lions

Grant hasn't had much luck against McClatchy recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Grant Pacers will take on the McClatchy Lions at 7:00 p.m. Grant knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three matches -- so hopefully McClatchy likes a good challenge.

Last Wednesday, Grant came up short against Antelope and fell 84-71.

Meanwhile, McClatchy entered their tilt with West Park on Wednesday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Panthers 69-26. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 20 points or more this season.

McClatchy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.0 points per game. As for Grant, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-6.

Grant came up short against McClatchy in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 64-59. Can Grant avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
