Basketball Recap: Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits vs. Millikan Rams
The Long Beach Poly Jackrabbits stacked a 12th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They breezed by Millikan on the road to the tune of 68-35. Given Long Beach Poly's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while the Rams are ranked 365th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Long Beach Poly got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Bailey Prewitt out in front who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and six steals. Prewitt hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for six straight games. Brooklyn Taylor was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Long Beach Poly is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. As for Millikan, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-13.
Long Beach Poly does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Millikan also has no future games currently scheduled.
