Soccer Game Preview: Downtown Magnets vs. Franklin

The Downtown Magnets Suns will face off against the Franklin Panthers at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.

Downtown Magnets came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 4-1 to Annenberg. Having soared to a lofty four goals in the game before, Downtown Magnets couldn't push the score so high this time.

Their goal came courtesy of Scarleth Orellana, who's now up to 13 this season.

Meanwhile, with a playoff win on the line, Franklin rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Pumas by a score of 4-2. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for Franklin's offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Downtown Magnets' loss dropped their record down to 6-10-1. As for Franklin, they moved to 5-10-1 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.
