Softball Recap: Middle Park Takes a Loss

Middle Park extended their losing streak to five on Tuesday, dropping them down to 5-14. They came up short against the Moffat County Bulldogs, falling 22-9. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-4 on Tuesday.

As for Moffat County, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-10. Considering they have won five matchups by more than 12 runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

For Moffat County's part, Vanessa Herrara was excellent, going a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, five RBI, and one triple. Herrara continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Camila Nunez-Verdugo, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Middle Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Moffat County, they will square off against Resurrection Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
