Basketball Recap: United Christian Academy Sets Scoring Season-High Against California Lutheran

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask United Christian Academy). They claimed a resounding 80-7 victory over the California Lutheran C-Hawks. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 24 points or more this season.

United Christian Academy found their leader in sophomore Jordin Edwards, who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 15 steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Edwards has scored all season. Natalie Estrada was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on 22 points and nine steals.

United Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive boards. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in January of 2024.

United Christian Academy pushed their record up to 12-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.7 points per game. As for California Lutheran, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

United Christian Academy will challenge Ramona at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. United Christian Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.2 points per game this season. As for California Lutheran, they will be playing in front of their home fans against La Sierra Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
