Football Recap: West Forsyth Takes Down Hillgrove in a Playoff Battle + How To Watch

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only West Forsyth walked away with it. They had just enough and edged out the Hillgrove Hawks 20-17. The win was familiar territory for the Wolverines, who have now won three matchups in a row.

It was another big night for Max Walraven, who threw for 209 yards and a pair of TDs while completing 73.7% of his passes, and also punched in one rushing score. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in September.

Despite the loss, Hillgrove still got an impressive performance from Jaiden Moore, who rushed for 138 yards and one score on only 14 carries. Moore's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 138 rushing yards.

West Forsyth's victory bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Hillgrove, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3.

Looking ahead, West Forsyth will face off against North Gwinnett at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' defense has only allowed 9.2 points per game this season, so the Wolverines' offense will have their work cut out for them. Hillgrove does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
