Baseball Recap: Twiggs County Comes Up Short

Twiggs County lost against Wilkinson County last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Twiggs County lost 19-3 to Wilkinson County. The Cobras have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Twiggs County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dillon Self, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Twiggs County now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Wilkinson County, their win ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-7-1.

Coming up, Twiggs County will head out to face off against Montgomery County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wilkinson County, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Georgia Military College at 4:00 p.m. Wilkinson County's pitchers better be ready for this one: Georgia Military College has averaged an impressive 7.1 runs per game this season.
