Soccer Game Preview: Drew vs. International

Drew is 1-9 against International since September of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Dragons will look to defend their home pitch against the Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Drew didn't have quite enough to beat The Bay School and fell 2-1. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Drew came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked fifth, while The Bay School are ranked 32nd).

Meanwhile, International entered their match against Sonoma Academy on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Jaguars fell just short of the Coyotes by a score of 3-2.

Eli Rothschild wasn't going to let Sonoma Academy walk away unscathed as he scored both of International's goals, bringing his season total up to two goals.

Drew's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 6-2. As for International, they now have a losing record of 3-4-2.
