Recap: Hoopa Valley Warriors vs. Eureka Loggers
If the Hoopa Valley Warriors were feeling good off their 70-34 takedown of the Ferndale Wildcats last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Hoopa Valley was the victim of a tough 62-36 defeat at the hands of Eureka on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, Hoopa Valley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 285th, while Eureka is ranked 55th).
Despite the loss, Hoopa Valley still got an impressive performance from Tashee Tracy, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. Tracy is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games she's played. Wau'Kel Blake was another key contributor, scoring five points along with six rebounds.
Hoopa Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 12-9. As for Eureka, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 21-4.
Hoopa Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Eureka also has no future games currently scheduled.
