Softball Game Preview: Lincoln Lancers vs. Overland Trailblazers

For the second straight game, Lincoln will face off against Overland. The Lancers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Trailblazers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lincoln is looking for their season's first victory.

Lincoln came up short against Overland on Wednesday, falling 15-3.

For Overland's part, the team relied heavily on Michaela Halton, who fired off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while going 4-for-4. That's the most RBI Halton has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Malia Relford, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Overland always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .690. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Overland, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
