Baseball Recap: Salt Fork Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Arcola, Salt Fork was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Watseka Warriors by a score of 11-7. This was a revenge game for the Storm: when they faced off against the Warriors back in March, they had to take a 14-13 defeat.

Par5 Rangel was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Eli Wear, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and two doubles.

Salt Fork now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Watseka, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season.

Salt Fork wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 13-3 victory against Schlarman on the 20th. As for Watseka, they have also already played their next contest, a 13-3 loss against Armstrong on the 20th.
