Football Game Preview: Bear Creek Bruins vs. Franklin Yellowjackets + How To Watch

The Bear Creek Bruins will venture away from home to face off against the Franklin Yellowjackets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Franklin took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Bear Creek, who comes in off a win.

Bear Creek is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing River Valley: they outscored them in every quarter. The Bruins never let the Falcons get on the board and left with a 26-0 victory on Friday.

Jeremiah Robertson had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 106 yards and one score on only five carries, while also picking up 39 receiving yards. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jalen Mcgee, who gained 183 total yards and a touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bear Creek was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 209 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Franklin was not able to break out of their rough patch last Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 36-0 loss at the hands of Tokay.

Franklin's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Bear Creek, their record is now an identical 2-5.

Bear Creek and Franklin were almost perfectly matched up in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, but Bear Creek suffered an agonizing 21-20 loss. Can the Bruins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
