Like Cheyenne Mountain, Discovery Canyon also got a great game from a two-way player: Bella Holcomb. She struck out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off four hits. Holcomb was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Holcomb wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Taylor McCann, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Cheyenne Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Discovery Canyon, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-14.
