Basketball Recap: Forsyth Home Educators Victorious

Forsyth Home Educators won the last time they faced Surry HomeSchool and things went their way on Thursday too. The Hawks walked away with a 50-43 win over the Runnin' Patriots.

Forsyth Home Educators can attribute much of their success to Holt Briggs, who went 6-for-11 en route to 16 points. Those 16 points gave Briggs a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Caleb Petusky, who posted nine points.

Surry HomeSchool lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Logan Weddle, who had 12 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Heath Clark, who put up ten points.

Forsyth Home Educators' victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Forsyth Home Educators won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Gospel Light Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Surry HomeSchool, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 87-42 win against Carolina Baptist Academy on the 6th.
