Basketball Recap: Washington Union Comes Up Short

Washington Union was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Hanford West Huskies 54-23. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1001st, while the Huskies are ranked 261st).

Despite the loss, Washington Union still got an impressive performance from Jade Holland, who dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards. That's the most rebounds Holland has posted since back in November of 2024.

Washington Union's loss dropped their record down to 5-20. As for Hanford West, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-7.

As of now, neither Washington Union nor Hanford West have any future games scheduled.
