Soccer Game Preview: Mission Hills vs. Oceanside

The Mission Hills Grizzlies will face off against the Oceanside Pirates at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Mission Hills is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Wednesday. They never let El Camino onto the board and left with a 1-0 victory. The Grizzlies wouldn't have won without Amanda Anders, who scored the game-winner.

Meanwhile, Oceanside fell victim to West Hills and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Wolf Pack by a score of 1-0.

Mission Hills took their win against Oceanside in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a conclusive 5-0. Will Mission Hills repeat their success, or does Oceanside have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
