Softball Recap: Dublin Comes Up Short

Dublin couldn't beat Academy for Classical Education on Tuesday even though they stacked five runs on them in the third inning. The Fighting Irish lost 14-5 to the Gryphons. The loss continues a trend for the Fighting Irish in their meetings with the Gryphons: they've now lost six in a row.

Dublin's defeat dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Academy for Classical Education, they pushed their record up to 19-9 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Dublin will take on Bleckley County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Royals' pitching crew has only allowed two runs per game this season, so the Fighting Irish's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Academy for Classical Education, they will face off against Glascock County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
