Eureka had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 5.9 runs) and they went ahead and made it nine on Wednesday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Troy-Buchanan Trojans. This was payback for the Wildcats, who suffered a 5-3 loss the last time these two teams met.

Chrystal Hall spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Eureka saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alina Logush, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Eureka's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Troy-Buchanan, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.
