Softball Game Preview: Central Springs Panthers vs. West Fork Warhawks

The Central Springs Panthers will square off against the West Fork Warhawks on Monday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Central Springs proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by ten) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Pocahontas, sneaking past 6-5.

Meanwhile, West Fork won against Alta-Aurelia on Wednesday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Saturday. The Warhawks didn't even let East Sac County on the board, marking the Warhawks' second-straight 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Warhawks, who have now won 14 games by six runs or more so far this season.

West Fork is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.1 runs over those games. As for Central Springs, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-14.
