Football Recap: Millburn Comes Up Short

Millburn lost against West Orange back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Millers came up short against the Mountaineers, falling 26-6. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.

Elianna Denis had an outrageously good game for West Orange as she threw for 262 yards and four TDs while completing 78.6% of her passes. That's the most passing yards Denis has posted since back in April of 2024. Nola Duncan was Denis' top target, picking up 78 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Millburn's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for West Orange, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1-1.

Millburn does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Orange, they will take on Irvington at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Blue Knights' defense has only allowed 6.5 points per game this season, so the Mountaineers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
