Soccer Game Preview: Gustine vs. Denair

The Gustine Reds will head out to square off against the Denair Coyotes at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Gustine is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Delhi just ended the team's eight-game winning streak on Thursday. They and the Hawks finished up their matchup with a 1-1 draw. The result kept the Reds happy, as they haven't lost a game since December 6, 2024.

Meanwhile, Denair had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.7 goals) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They never let the Wildcats onto the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The Coyotes might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by three goals or more this season.

Denair's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-5-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those four games. Gustine's draw gives them a new season record of 8-3-2.
