Northwest entered their tilt with NEN on Saturday with 11 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 12. Their pitcher stepped up to hand NEN a 10-0 shutout. The Vikings have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw NEN, too.

Libby Loman made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with four RBI and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in October of 2024.

In other batting news, Jolie O'Hara was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs. Laiken Dorsey was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Northwest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .533. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .323 or higher in 12 consecutive games.

Northwest's victory bumped their record up to 14-2. As for NEN, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-7 record this season.

Northwest has already played their next matchup, a 5-4 win against Waverly on the 20th. As for NEN, they will challenge Arlington at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The last five games the Eagles have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
