Soccer Game Preview: Sierra vs. Mountain House

Sierra has gone 3-0 against Mountain House recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Sierra Timberwolves will welcome the Mountain House Mustangs at 6:15 p.m. Sierra will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.

Sierra's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged Patterson out 1-0. Given the Timberwolves' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 131st, while the Tigers are ranked 527th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sierra's one-goal win came courtesy of Hailey Cruz, who's now up to 24 this season.

Meanwhile, Mountain House has been struggling as of late, and they have yet to win a game this season. They lost 3-0 to Oakdale on Wednesday. The contest was up for grabs at halftime, but sadly Mountain House struggled afterwards.

Sierra has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-3-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 39 goals over those 11 matches. As for Mountain House, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12-8.

Everything went Sierra's way against Mountain House in their previous meeting back in January, as Sierra made off with a 6-2 win. Does Sierra have another victory up their sleeve, or will Mountain House turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
