Baseball Recap: Fullington Academy Comes Up Short

Fullington Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 18-3 to Rock Springs Christian Academy. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Rock Springs Christian Academy this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-5 back in March.

Fullington Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryson Faulk, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. Faulk is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

Fullington Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Rock Springs Christian Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 11-7.

Coming up, Fullington Academy will face off against Byne Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Saints have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.4 runs per game on average), something the Trojans will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Rock Springs Christian Academy, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on St. Mary's Academy at 5:00 p.m. on the 14th.
