Baseball Recap: Lyons Comes Up Short

Lyons and Yuma squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Lyons had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 5-4. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Indians apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2022.

Jake LaCrosse made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with one home run. Kaion Kishiyama also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Lyons has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-10 record this season. As for Yuma, the victory was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-4.

As of now, neither Lyons nor the Indians have any future games scheduled.
