Winder-Barrow has gone 8-2 against Apalachee recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Winder-Barrow Bulldoggs will head out to challenge the Apalachee Wildcats at 5:55 p.m.

On Monday, Winder-Barrow needed a bit of extra time to put away Apalachee. They had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 5-4. That's two games straight that the Bulldoggs have won by just one run.

For Apalachee's part, Russell Malcom made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Apalachee is 2-1 when Malcom posts two or more runs, but 5-7 otherwise. JJ Gonzalez was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.

Apalachee moved to 7-8 with that defeat, which also ended their five-game winning streak. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.2 runs over those games. As for Winder-Barrow, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-5.
