Softball Game Preview: High Point Christian Academy Cougars vs. Freedom Christian Academy Patriots

For the second straight game, High Point Christian Academy will face off against Freedom Christian Academy. The Cougars will be playing at home against the Patriots at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. High Point Christian Academy will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

Paisley Dixon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than nine strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Blakely Bowman, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Maci Burkhart, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.

High Point Christian Academy's win was their 23rd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-4. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Freedom Christian Academy, their loss ended a 15-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 22-3.
