Baseball Recap: Five Straight Road Victories for Chamblee

Chamblee's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They came out on top against the Arabia Mountain Rams by a score of 4-1. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won eight in a row.

James Morton tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over six innings pitched. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Chamblee is 3-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 5-10 otherwise.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Houston Buck, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Chamblee pushed their record up to 8-11 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.4 runs over those games. As for Arabia Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.

Chamblee will have a chance to go back-to-back against Arabia Mountain: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
