Volleyball Recap: Sterling Comes Up Short

Sterling was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kingwood Park Panthers. If the Rangers were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Panthers when the teams met back in September of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Sterling's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Kingwood Park, they moved to 15-11 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

Sterling and Kingwood Park will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Rangers will challenge rival Port Arthur Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Kingwood Park is set to face off against their familiar foe Pasadena at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
