Recap: Jefferson Grizzlies vs. Westmoor Rams
Even though the Jefferson Grizzlies have not done well against the Westmoor Rams recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Jefferson took down Westmoor 46-32. For Jefferson, this counts as revenge for the 40-33 defeat Westmoor walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Jefferson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Grace Wang, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. Wang is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last eight games she's played. Jerzey Gallegos was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Jefferson's win bumped their record up to 10-8. As for Westmoor, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5.
Jefferson will take on Capuchino at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Capuchino is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Westmoor, they will head out on the road to square off against Terra Nova at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Terra Nova will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 873rd, while Westmoor is ranked 432nd).
